ColourPop | Orange You Glad? Palette | Full Review

Hi Beauties,
Orange you glad I am putting up another blog post? Yikes, that was bad. If you hadn’t already guessed, this post is going to be all about a new addition to my makeup collection, the ColourPop Cosmetics Orange You Glad? 9 pan eyeshadow palette. If you want to know all the tea on this palette, then keep on reading!

About The Palette
This beautiful monochromatic orange palette was released in 2019 and was such a great addition to the 9 palette series. You obviously get 9 shades; 6 mattes, 2 shimmers and 1 glitter. It can be purchased on the ColourPop website for $12 USD (approx. $16 AUD), which means you are only paying about $1.80 AUD per pan!

The Packaging

Similar to other 9 pan palettes, this one comes in a sturdy and adorably designed plastic case. Not as cute as the Main Squeeze palette (review here) however! On the inside, I am so happy to say that there is a large, high-quality mirror and the shade names are also printed underneath each shade AND on the back of the palette itself. I love that all their 9 pan palettes are including these much appreciated details.

The Shades

Zested is a peachy yellow shade with a matte finish.

Squeeze Me is an orange metallic shade.

Creamsicle is a matte orange shade.

Rise N Grind is a light matte orange shade.

Clementine is a peachy glitter shade.

Sunkiss’d is a light orange-yellow shade with a matte finish.

Tangerine Dreams is a light, golden orange shade with a frosted sheen finish.

Mimosa Mami is a bright dark orange shade with a matte finish.

Ya Peel Me is a dark copper shade with a matte finish.

Final Thoughts

You are going to see me write this a lot, but I really love the idea of the ColourPop 9 pan monochromatic palettes. If you have a favourite colour to wear, you can just grab that palette and boom, you have everything you need. ColourPop eyeshadows are some of my favourites, formula wise. They have really nailed the shimmer/metallic formulas and their matte formula has improved so much over the years also! They aren’t too dry and they blend super well on the eye without skipping or fading into nothing.

Would I change anything about this palette? Yeah, there are two shades, Rise N Grind and Mimosa Mami, which are so similar when swatched. I might have gotten rid of the lighter one and put in a deeper true orange instead, but that’s just me. Also, I am not a big fan of pressed glitters so the one in this palette might never get used by me. Another thing worth mentioning is that the glitter is marked as ‘unsafe to use on eyes’. This is pretty standard for all glitters. It is up to you on whether you heed that warning or not. There are also 2 pressed pigments in this palette, which are also considered “not safe to use around the immediate eye area”. This is simply because they can stain the eye, or cause irritation to those with sensitive skin/eyes.

What do you think about the ColourPop Orange You Glad? palette? Have you tried any of the other 9 pan monochromatic palettes? Make sure you leave me a comment and let me know 🙂

That’s all for now Beauties!
