How To Swatch Makeup Like A Pro

Hi Beauties!

Welcome back to another blog post. As you can tell by the title, today I am going to be sharing some swatching secrets with you all. Have you ever questioned your swatch game? Have you been wondering how on earth some insta babes get their amazing patterned or cool shapes swatches? Well, they probably use swatch stencils!

Swatch stencils are these super cool sticker sheets that you can stick to your arms, legs, or wherever you please. They really help take your swatching game to the next level and there are so many cool stencil stores out there, you are sure to find a design for whatever you need.

When I first started out with my Instagram, I used to just do the good old finger line swatch on the arm and call it a day. There is nothing wrong with this by the way! It’s quick and easy and affordable because well, arms and fingers don’t usually cost anything and don’t take a week or two to be sent to you. However, if you want to move those swatches into the next level of professional, you jump online and find some sweet ass swatch stencil stores. The first ones I ever came across (and the only ones I have ever used right up to this very day) are by MissFitzDesign on Etsy. Not only does she make the coolest designs, but she also makes some pretty sweet decal stickers too.

MissFitsDesign, also known as Hannah, is based in New Zealand. She releases new swatch stencils on the regular, so you can pretty much find any swatch type that you desire. I have gone through PLENTY of her designs and I am yet to find one that I don’t like. You can find anything from straight-up bar swatches to flowers, themes, negative space and even words. Recently she came out with a sort of ‘make your own swatch stencil’ concept, and it’s pretty darn cool.

Here are some that I have done for my page:

Have you ever tried swatch stencils before? Which brand do you use? (No seriously, tell me cause I can’t get enough of them).

That’s all for now Beauties!
