Welcome back to another blog post! I wanted to start this post by giving a big thanks to all my new subscribers and to all those who take the time to read my posts. It really means a lot to me to see this little blog growing and people interacting and enjoying what I am posting. Let’s get back to today’s post, shall we? As you can tell by the title I am coming at you today with yet another makeup haul (my low/no buy is really going great isn’t it). This time I went online shopping at Mecca and grabbed a bunch of little goodies that I either needed as a replacement, or I have had my eye on for a while. If you want to see what I picked up, then keep on reading.
The first goodie I added to my basket was the Morphe Continuous Setting Mist. This purchase was a replacement as my current setting mist is just about empty and I didn’t want to risk not having any until I was able to grab a fresh one. I absolutely love and recommend this setting mist! Like the name suggests it is a continuous spray with a lightweight mist. This spray is meant to put an end to melting, caking and fading of makeup throughout the day and after going through 4 or 5 bottles of it, I have to say that the claims are true.
The next repurchase is the Mecca Max Brush Refresh Tool. This quick-drying antibacterial spritz is great for spot cleaning makeup brushes in between uses. It helps to remove oil and bacteria that can build up in your brushes if you don’t clean them regularly and can help stop any nasties from transferring onto your beautiful little faces. I love this brush cleaner as there is no water/rinsing required. You just spray, swirl and move on. If you aren’t sure how to clean your brushes, or just want some helpful tips, I have a blog post dedicated to just this and I will link it here.
I recently ran out of a mini cleanser I got to try, so I desperately needed to pick up a new one. My sister is a big fan of the Go-To range and recommended that I test out the Properly Clean Cleanser from their range. So in my basket it went. This cleanser is meant to give your skin an exceptional clean with its foaming formula. It gently removes makeup, dirt and any excess oils from the face without irritating or stripping the skin. I am hoping all these claims are true as I have noticed that many cleansers I have been testing make my skin feel tight and dry after I use them. Fingers crossed for me people!
I have heard so many good things about the Lanolips brand, and I thought it was about time I tested it out for myself. I saw that Mecca had a little Fruities Trio which had 3 different flavoured lip ointments, so I put that straight in my basket (does anyone remember when saying that was a thing?). I figured I would put one in my work bag, one in my car and one by my bed! It comes in three flavours; peach for intense hydrated, green apple which is packed full of antioxidants and strawberry for smoothly exfoliated lips. I am excited to try these out and have beautiful kissable lips.
Once the realisation of my spending had kicked in I decided that I needed more lip glosses! I used to absolutely loathe lip gloss, the stickiness, the messiness and the look of it on my lips made it hard for me to love. But one day last year I woke up and decided to put one on my lips and I have been obsessed ever since. Mecca Max has a Gloss Boss range of lip glosses that have multiple shades so I decided to pick up 2; Shine Time which is a clear gloss and Base Line which has more of a nude/pink tone. These super comfortable glosses will hopefully nourish my lips and make amazing lipstick toppers.
Finally, some freebies! April is my birthday month (Aries baby, anyone out there good with astrology?) which means that I was able to grab my Beauty Loop Level 1 birthday gift. This year it was a beautiful Mecca Max Nourishing Hand Cream. I have been loving using hand creams lately so it was greatly appreciated. The free samples in my order included two Kai by Gaye Straza Body Lotions that will hopefully leave my body feeling hydrated an soft.
What beauty products have you picked up recently? Make sure you lave me a comment and let me know 🙂
That’s all for now Beauties!
