Welcome back to another eyeshadow review post! Today’s post is going to focus on the Ultimate Eyes Sunset Palette from Ulta3. If you want to learn more about the palette, and whether or not I will be keeping it in my collection, then keep on reading.
*This product was generously gifted to me for free with no obligation to review. I am not being paid to do so, and all opinions are my own.*
About The Palette –
To say I was excited when I received this beautiful palette in a recent PR package would be an understatement. I have heard so many good things about their eyeshadow palettes (I have only owned 1 previously) and I had been wanting to test them out for myself. Anyway, this palette is completely vegan and cruelty free and will only cost you $10.95. It contains 6 shades with a mixture of matte and shimmer shades.
The Packaging –
This palette is housed in a plastic compact with a black base and a clear lid. It comes with a clasp open and closure. I actually like this kind of packaging because you can actually see the colours in the palette and it makes it easier to find exactly what you are looking for. I also love how compact this packaging is! You can easily chuck it in a handbag or small makeup bag and be on your way.
The Shades –
Shade 1 is a matte champagne shade.
Shade 2 is a shimmery golden shade.
Shade 3 is a matte medium brown shade.
Shade 4 is a shimmery copper shade.
Shade 5 is a shimmery fuchsia shade.
Shade 6 is a shimmery bold deep eggplant shade.
I really enjoy this palette! For such an affordable price, I was expecting the shadows to be chalky, hard to blend and lack pigmentation. But boy was I wrong. Each of the shades feel extremely buttery and the blend out like a dream with one another. The shimmer gold and copper shades are a big stand out for me and I know I will be reaching for them a lot.
Will I be keeping the Ulta3 Ultimate Eyes Sunset Palette in my collection? Damn right I am. Affordable brands are really stepping up their game in recent years. Why spend $50+ on a lacklustre palette, when you can spend under $12 for this amazing one? If I had to make one complaint it would be that I would have loved to see one more deeper made shade in the palette, perhaps a deep brown or even a black. But I can easily jump into another palette if I feel I need to.
